About the Alumni Association

Alumni associations exist to support the parent organization’s goals, and to strengthen the ties between alumni, the community, and the parent organisation.

Established in 2007, Catholic School Ara Alumni Association (CSA3) is the successor to the informal ideation and efforts of a few students. It provides a forum that brings together great minds from past and present. As a vibrant and active body representing all Catholic School Ara alumni, and building upon the shared values, proud history, tradition and achievements of our alumni, it promotes and fosters lifelong association among its members.

CSA3 network has grown significantly, and you are an integral part.

CSA3 wants all our school students to know, from the moment they are enrolled, that they are joining an inclusive, active, diverse, informative, and supportive campus community — not just for their school years, but for the rest of their lives — in partnership with its alumni worldwide.

Vision

CSA3 envisions and aspires to connect, consult, communicate and celebrate through leadership and services by reinforcing the importance of partnership while strengthening the intellectual and emotional ties amongst alumni, students, teachers, staff, parents and friends of the school.

Mission

To establish, engage and interact with alumni on an ongoing basis; to partner and communicate for continuous improvements, to innovate and advocate high-impact strategic initiatives at the school; and to professionally manage a strong, caring and compassionate alumni community.

Values

CSA3 values excellence, creativity, loyalty, integrity, diversity, innovation and constructive feedback for continuous improvements, while honouring our history, traditions and achievements.

Objectives

CSA3 aims to

  • foster and promote the participation of its members in the activities of the school
  • establish mutually beneficial relations and meaningful dialogue between its members with each other, with the Alumni Association and with the school
  • highlight and celebrate the achievements of alumni
  • maintain, update and manage records of alumni and establish a worldwide alumni network
  • identify ways to better harness the potentials and expertise of alumni for the benefit of Association, students and the school
  • assist the school by other means as the Association considers are appropriate.

Management of alumni activities

An Executive Committee is assigned with governing the alumni association, facilitating the implementation of CSA3 vision, mission and values, and strategically define the pathways to achieve its goals and objectives. CSA3 Executive Committee is the primary representative body for alumni and serves as a liaison between its members and school administration.

The committee is proud of organising its successful and colourful annual event – Homecoming – at the school.

Help Us Achieve Our Goals

Since it was founded in 2007, the Association has grown exponentially and reached the membership counts around 2,000 from its initial count of 10. Still a long way to go and more to achieve in bringing back all the alumni on a single platform.

We look for your active support in imagining and striving that the current CSA3 community become more active and larger. We should take personal responsibility to inform, invite, involve and integrate with our batch mates, seniors and juniors.

Please demonstrate your pride, appreciation and lifelong connection to your alma mater by joining Alumni Association as we embark on this exciting new chapter!

 No Excuse Please

Eliminate Misconceptions

“I used to be a _______.” (membership doesn’t expire when you graduate – it’s designed to last a lifetime)
“I don’t have time.” (we’re all volunteers)
“I won’t know anybody.” (members from other eras can help by welcoming newcomers)
“All they want is my money.” (the main effort needs to show that money’s not the primary concern)
