Catholic High School

In the year 1947, Fr. Welzmiller arrived in Ara and he took forward the vision of the pioneers and saw the need to upgrade the middle school to a high school. Hence, in 1952 it was upgraded to High school, and then came into being Catholic High School (CHS) Ara. Fr. Apoline D’Costa continued to remain Headmaster of both Middle and High School. In 1954.

Bihar School Examination Board gave its official approval and Recognition. In 1955, the first batch of matriculation students wrote BSEB annual examination and secured 100 percent result. In the year 1976, Catholic High School and Middle School, Ara was declared “Christian Minority School” by the Government of Bihar.
