Fr. Josey Mathias, SJ who is also an alumni of Catholic High School, Ara is the present principal of this school. He completed his matriculation in 1980 and went forward to achieve his long cherished desire to become a Jesuit priest.

After having completed the required training for priesthood and other studies, he became a priest in 1996. He then was sent to Boston College, Massachusetts, USA for further studies in Linguistics and Education. After returning from USA, he was appointed as the dean of studies at XTTI, Patna where Brothers receive part of the priestly training.

Serving for six years as dean, in 2008 he was appointed as principal of St. Ignatius School, Aurangabad, Bihar. After the demise of Fr. Sebastian Santiago SJ, in 2013, Fr. Josey Mathias, SJ was appointed as headmaster of his alma mater – Catholic High School, Ara.
